    sequestration itself is expensive and so much money has been put into something that really isn't a viable option

    Oz has a renewable source of energy that can produce way more than finite natural gas - solar
    It's cheap , you can produce hydrogen from it , ammonia from that
    the Pilbara of WA where all the iron ore is mined has endless sunshine - can use the hydrogen to make steel on site

    this is the future for our country - (I'm not a "green" btw , but a scientist and a realist )


    but the idea of using the CO2 has long interested me - one thought in the back of my mind involved big ponds and algae production , amybe used for animal feed

    Also I'm not in a hurry to get rid of gas as this is our bridging energy source while renewables are being transitioned to .

    One more thought ..... oil and natuaral gas are finite resources ...... and really too vvaluable as chemicals to be wasted as fuels
