Ok, if you could, how much solar pv do you need to replace all natural gas used in the globe? In 2021 the globe consumed 4.04 Tm3 nat gas (or 140,000PJ) so you’d need 160,000 square km of solar farm to achieve this! That’s 400km x 400km.
Now what about the coal and oil. Thats 70% of all fossil fuels so another 370,000sqkm for a total 530,000 sqkm solar array to replace all existing fossil fuels. And now for the electrification of everything and replacing concrete with something else.
Not by silly 2050 policies.
The free market and price signal driven innovations will sort energy out for the future without any concern whatsoever. The world should already have nuclear power plants everywhere but no. Energy should be so abundant and cheap it’s not funny!!
