"Initially the technology could enable coal-fired power plants to operate in tandem with renewables, reducing the reliance on coal and eventually replacing coal." To me this says their solution can't scale to handle the volume required to power these plants. Also - does anyonw know whay these are made of? Last time I checked alloys are not a renewable resource.
