Those numbers are certainly very interesting.. and show that electrolysers are still a LONG way off being relevant to a hazer system. $7 is a whole lot of inefficiency.
It has always plagued me that even if solar farms were built to supply electrolysers that somewhere power has to be generated to power our world.. so.. in essence solar to electrolysers to hydrogen is still hugely inefficient, solar to grid, makes soooo much more sense, then remove coal generation by the same proportion...
Just seems they are looking for green credentials going solar to hydrogen.
