This article is an interesting read.

With new technology scientists have been able to more accurately estimate the preindustrial fossil methane levels in the atmosphere to have been 1-5 million tonnes.

From predominantly oil and gas extraction, human activity releases 172-195 million tonnes of fossil methane into the atmosphere annually.
(IMO these figures alone are startling.)

We all know methane is worse in the atmosphere than carbon dioxide, IMO some day regulators will get tighter restrictions on fossil methane releases and force oil and gas companies to improve their methods. Is there a technology around that can value add to methane???? HZR???? make a bit of H2 and graphite? utilize the previously released methane? If these big oil and gas companies are forced to look at solutions HZR may be ready for them. The next couple of years will be interesting for HZR.
