Thanks for the video, @Megafauna. Something jumped out at me that Luc said, it's at 49:00, about the amount of iron ore consumed.

In short, Luc says Hazer's contacts in Japan and Korea assumed they'd need oodles of iron ore to use the process, which they don't have locally. But Luc told them: "Don't worry about it, we can send over a container and it'll last you a long time."

Wow, so little nowadays?? The iron ore seems to go a lot further than a couple of years ago. But it's logical, as they've upped the FBR graphite purity from slightly under 80% in 2018 to 90-95% projected for the CDP.

In 2018, 1 tonne of iron ore made about 4.6 tonnes of graphite and 1.3 tonnes of H2 (FBR data from this application before the move to Kwinana). Now, the indication is that 1 tonne of ore should make 10-20 tonnes of graphite and 2.6-5.3 tonnes H2 (based on the CDP's 380tpa graphite/100tpa H2).

Hazer appear to have reduced their iron ore intensity by 50-75%. If correct, that's impressive.

Being the only finite input, the process becomes more sustainable by the same measure: less iron ore production, fewer shipments, lower emissions and costs, and more incentive to roll out widely.
