The Thing is:

Algae from its ABILITIES "would" be the "NEARLY PERFECT" "Crop", as I can say.

"Would" have much, much, much Advantages, compared to Most Other Biofuels.
(natural Solution, extremely, extremely high "Energy Conversion" Numbers, Pond harvesting possible, an extremely, extrremely, extrremely small Footprint, compared to Energy generated, and Any Other).

But technically seen there are still Bigger Hurdles I would say....................
(this is also Why I guess "shorter" Term there is "not much to win" with it, but longer Term, at SOME Point this will become veeeeeeery interesting(similar like "some Other green Approaches", which are now becoming pretty successful -but needed, often, DECADES to come to that Point...................))


DoE has also already done Any R&D on Algae, AFAIK.

Some Years ago they published a Paper about their Findings.
