Another point the article fails to mention is that the new gas turbines can run either on natural gas or hydrogen. so if and when there's sufficient hydrogen available, it can be used rather than burning more fossil fuel. A Turquoise Hydrogen plant (hopefully Hazer) plugged in between the natural gas pipeline and the gas turbine would seem an ideal solution.
