If you already have a gas peaking plant connected to a natural gas feedstock source a Hazer plant supplying hydrogen from it as an alternative would be cheaper than electrolysis as well as not requiring the vast amount of next door real estate required by either solar or wind turbines for the electrolysis. Electric power generation plants fall into the hard to abate category.
