I would not get too excited by the ECT reference in the report, even though I am generally gung-ho on their prospects.

The ECT report is only used to establish a reference to the fact that current US consumption of hydrogen is 7.3 million kilograms per year.

This in itself would seem to be poor practice, as I suspect that the ECT report is only a secondary reference to that fact, and a proper reference would be to wherever ECT got that information.

So if the current report used the original source for the 7.3 million kilograms, ECT would not be mentioned.

Thus the current report does in no way endorse ECT as a participant in the hydrogen economy - unfortunately!
