Thanks for detail. Let me ask clearly then... COULD there be a near / medium term project that would use the off shore natural gas, to create hydrogen with only 'some' CO2 released. That is, not 100% carbon neutral, but 90%... 80%.... 70%?

I read natural gas for electricity vs coal is about a 40% reduction of CO2 at the power plant. So I dont know why the great nirvana (first step) is to simply replace all coal with 'at worst' natural gas - a 40% reduction.

Now if that natural gas can be converted at source to hydrogen (WPL's 'blue hydrogen') and the Hazer process works at scale (economically) and can save, say some percentage (50%) of CO2... then dont you have the best of both worlds

1) using natural gas for power generation saves 40% CO2
2) using natural gas to make hydrogen using Hazer saves????? some number over 40%, can we guess 70%????

I see a mid term upside here, but maybe I am just too uneducated. I need to read more re this 'blue' hydrogen. What will Greta accept? I dont think the world can be 100% nil CO2 emissions. So any tech that saves 40%, 50% should be used in my opinion
