Hydrogen can be transported by pipeline, either as a pure gas or a mixture with natural gas. The issue with potential hydrogen reserves in SA may be that too much will be found, leading to a glut of supply.
There is a proof of concept ship built by Kawasaki, the Suiso Frontier, which has shown that the transportation of liquified hydrogen is feasible, although the economics of it are yet to be proven. The Suiso Frontier only has a capacity of 1,250 m3 but Kawasaki has begun the process to get a ship that can transport 160,000 m3 built.
Gold Hydrogen is obviously a very speculative investment but the value proposition is a fairly low market cap so a significant find in October would be the first and could ignite more speculation and an appreciation in the share price.
