Hydrogen is great. Can be readily used to make electricity, propel a vehicle etc: all without any nasty GHGs.
However: 1.Hard to store. small mobile molecules and therefore hazardous.
2. Requires v large storage volumes; when compared natural gas needs 2.7 times the volume.
In 20 years time we may be wondering what all the fuss was about or hydrogen may be distant painful memory.
A good outcome for H is NOT a foregone conclusion.
