Hydrolysis ve pyrolysis.

I'm reading an article on Andrew[Twiggy] Forrest in the SMH Good Weekend Magazine. It's based on a comprehensive interview by Jane Cadzow. One particular item caught my attention. AF is dead keen on Green Hydrogen production and has engineers working on how to scale up hydrolysis[electricity through water to separate H2 and O] to provide the enormous amounts of Hydrogen required to replace green house gases.
Why,in heaven's name, isn't he getting hold of Edeninnovations pyrolysis process which is already scalable and commercially engaged, and getting his engineers to work on scaling that process up even more? It'd surely be a win-win situation for FFI[Fortescue Future Industries] and EDE? Is it an ego thing? Where Twiggy wants to be seen as the driver behind this significant CC initiative?
