I am well acquainted with Chloroquine, as an anti-malarial prophylactic. It was one pf a cocktail of drugs I used to take in PNG. My doctor had plenty of experience in that area. She used to rotate the drugs I took, to avoid a build up of toxicity.
Chloroquine has some bad side effects, which can include blindness. (Very rare) Others, like Fansidar, are even worse. If unqualified people pop handfulls of them, who knows what may happen.
Rely on your doctor, not on the mad conspiracy theorists, and amalgamated ratbags, who usually post on threads like this one.
Remember though. Doctors and Pharmacists often prescribe drugs, made by the company which provides the best kickbacks. That is why companies employ sales reps. Not the type of drug, just the brand.
