Trump made a mistake here, he should've lied and said HCQ is unproven and dangerous. The left wing would've accused Trump of being wrong and embraced it. Their "fact checkers" and "unbias" medical experts would've opposed Trump's claims with their own "studies and facts".
Good or bad, whatever Trump supports they won't stop spinning until it's bad even if it's at the cost of thousands of lives.
