Yes, this is the most likely deal in the short to mid term.
Chris Burns being their adviser, one would think that it would be a no-brainer for them to utilise some, if not all of Novonix's materials, assuming they can produce enough. Or, licence them to use DPMG for their upcoming factory in Idaho etc.
What that deal would be worth would depend on how much they use and how they use it. I'd be very happy with a small contract to start with - anything to get the ball rolling for the mid to long term, and hopefully expand NVX's production and cashflow!
I've tried to find out from KORE Power's website more about their Mk1 battery, but little in there. They mention they have 'patented manufacturing techniques', and 'advanced R&D', which I hope would be from NVX.
I would certainly be disappointed if they didn't use some of NVX with Chris as their adviser...
