It appears to come down to the fact that either side pushed to its extreme is disastrous.

The libertarians are extreme in some of their views, the printing of money with the expectation of fixing things is wrong, the idea of having a gold standard is also unobtainable now.

We have to get back somewhere in the centre as they have pushed the system to breaking point and unless "they" get a proper working system the financial world as we know it will collapse and then anyone without their PMs or barter goods will be starving.

That will be the time to get some big dogs and big guns because chaos will reign
