All these wonderful schemes are great in theory but the practical aspect must not be continually ignored

Self driving cars do not suit the majority of Australian roads or conditions, they will be great in the densely settled areas overseas with the massive population which can afford the infrastructure cost

GW is happening and has been doing so for thousands of years BUT Australia cannot afford the outlandish schemes that have been put in place to affect a 0.04% improvement and Australian families and business is already suffering from the cost of this scam

The proposal for a very fast train between Sydney and Melbourne is also impractical and you only have to look at the passengers that they carry per hour to realize that Australia does not have the people to buy enough tickets. There is a ton of information available about Japans HS Trains and their operation. For a start you would have to close down all the unions as they are not capable of the same degree of punctuality and work ethic.

Australia may punch above it's weight in many areas and it may be a rich country BUT there is not the population required to cover the distances that we travel to provide the money to make these schemes viable, also much of the wealth is controlled by foreign business who are not going to lose money here unless is is 70% plus funded by the Australian taxpayer

If you live in the Antarctic you have to live with those conditions, not as if you were on a Pacific Island, Australia must take, adapt and invent technology to suit the country and the population. The government can't even get foreign business to pay their taxes so they keep hitting the Australian taxpayer instead so lower your sights to what is applicable for this country and feasible
