I agree. Hope I don't sound chauvinistic. I'm defacto(gees I hate that definition, sounds like we are in exile!). We used my name for our daughters birth cert. The assumption is that one day we will marry and it will even out. But, I have no problem if we just chose my partners name. One or the other, hyphenated names are for couples with identity issues and insecurity. They prove squat.
Can any female explain why you use one? Coz it sure ain't a guy thing.
