While I don't disagree with everything you say, it is exactly the market perceptions you mention that allow me to make money.
During the completion of the 3 sales, the company needs to explain how it will manage it's cash prudently and wisely.
Not going solo on all downstream developments would be a good first step.
A good second step would, I believe, be the development of prospects in Alaska as the price of gas is pretty good there and much of the downstream infrastructure is in place.
A good third move would be to move onto some conventional near term O&G plays where they can be picked up at firesale prices and maybe some tight gas & shale plays. these are just my thoughts and the baord will undoubtedly have thought many a a strategic option through.
Analysts will be looking for a pragmadic and prudent forward plan to address the issues you raise.
