I heard a little whisper the other day that a Chinese contingent had made two trips up to visit our sites.
Why, what for? I'm not certain but do have theories and theories only......and that's where this hypothetical comes in.
I'm keen to get your thoughts on the following scenario.
Let's say the Chinese contingent was Stone and they are signing off on a deal.
They inject into the company, for the sake of it $40M or whatever amount that brings them to the maximum shareholding with out take over requirements.
But unfortunately we have to expand the shareholding accordingly. Let's say for the sake of it that takes up from 4.5B shares to 5.5B (this is very rough).
Will this be a good form of CR for current SH or bad?
Is it better to have a company with plenty of cash on hand but we have to expand the shares on offer again?
What will they bring to the table apart from cash?
Other things apart from cash may be on offer but for now I'm just wondering about this conundrum.
Thanks Hawka.
