    A clean energy future is something for Australians to smile about, Prime Minister Julia Gillard said today.

    Visiting the Gunning Wind Farm in southern NSW on Wednesday, Ms Gillard met farmers who allowed Spanish company Acciona Energy to build the wind farm on their property at Gurrundah.
    Now it will provide them with an extra source of income after years of drought.
    Ms Gillard joked that there should be smiley faces at the centre of the wind turbine propellers.
    Other farmers could look at similar opportunities to break into the renewable energy market and access a special $10 billion government fund, she said.

    All very cosy. But the money will have to come from the government alone because nobody else seems to be investing in it. I hace already published a graph of Vestas at five year low. Acconia is not much better;

    I doubt if a single green member would understand the total non-viability of promoting an industry that has its only source of finance as Government. In other words the above-mentioned farmers are simply receiving a handout financed by taxpayers.
