All this in a country where unemployment is around 4% and immigrants & returning Kiwi's have flooded in to take up abundant employment opportunities. Of course the traditional Labour supporters are often those long-term bludgers who couldn't get a job under any circumstances. And the Unions and Marxists hate to see NZ succeeding under a centre-right government: they want to get their hands back on the levers of power and will do almost anything at this point.
