Tesla posted record sales globally last year, more than 1.3 million cars

Worldwide sales for the US electric-car specialist Tesla rose by more than 350,000 cars in 2022, according to the company's latest official production and delivery figures.

The full-year total for 2022, as reported by Tesla, was 1,313,851 cars.

This compared to 936,172 in 2021.

“In 2022, vehicle deliveries grew 40 per cent (year-on-year) to 1.31 million while production grew 47 per cent to 1.37 million,” Tesla said in a statement.
