I think that GM overshot the mark. Directors and Management persevering with truly tried but out dated systems till it is too late. Too slow with predicting market trends.
The SUV was the American dream, the bigger, the better; it gives oneself a sense of power and self-esteem.
The US often likes it more difficult than is necessary, eg. Bonds don't have decimals; trading in pits when just about every other exchange uses silent computers.
