Yes but what i mean is that you cant chart an unknown positive milestone or announcement, until after the fact. If you can somehow predict it, you are guessing on when it comes. Otherwise you have insider information. A chart can be in a horrific downtrend, but then sometimes a great advance occurs which is significant and turns the ship. Chartist looks stupid.
Same can happen in reverse.
Charts work brilliantly in hindsight.
