    Nicky,

    Absolutely.

I have met too many people who will either never invest in the share market or never invest in property. I have even met people who refuse to do either, they just deposit their money in the bank.

I am a person who wishes to take advantage of all three asset classes and vary my relative exposure as conditions change. There are advantages/disadvantages to each. You've got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them.

A person who is positive in their attitude, open to new information and prepared to learn from their mistakes can only get better and richer. A person who is prepared to listen to people who have done it before is going to do well.

A person that cannot see opportunity even when helpful people are showing him how he can make money (we encounter them all too often on Hotcopper) is destined to remain on the wrong side of the winner/loser line. Sad, but true.

Investment is fun. Life is good. Hoping that others will suffer purely because you are jealous of their success is bad and has no place when making investment decisions.

Unfortunately most of the people I have on ignore from this property thread spend their time dreaming of negatives instead of searching for positives. They will remain on the wrong side of the winner/loser line.
