I think the "Voice" would just have been another boondoggle of elites acting along party lines.
What's needed is a fundamental rethink, Here's a couple of topics to start;
1) Communal ownership hasn't worked anywhere in the world. Why not divi up the huge land holdings of aboriginal communities amongst the members and give them each proper title?
2) Should aboriginal children be removed from dysfunctional families as white children would, forgetting the "stolen generation" emotion?
3) Are remote communities viable or desirable?
4) Should our government be blind to race, dealing with individuals on the basis of need only?
I know the party positions on these things, but can we all rethink it?
