Let's not get too excited about takeovers just yet.

There are 3 things at play here.

Aussie shale is extremely undervalued by global standards.
WA shale is playing catch up to the Cooper - See NWE, NSE, AWE, OBL and Bru(vva).

Then there is playing catch up with BRU. It seems to be the ice breaker with OBL and NSE following in its path. You will notice BRU making the big early gains, which are followed in the subsequent days by OBL and NSE.


NWE is on its own good thing IMO as it is making enormous ground back after long delays due to ministerial deliberations.

It helps that both NWE and NSE are drilling/fraccing in a couple of months too.

It is about time WA shale got more recognition from the market. I suspect the instos are juuuust waking up to it.
