I would expect the gold/silver stocks to bottom well before the metals. They always have in the past. The question you need to ask is "do you think that the bottom is in for the HUI"? Looking at how it's going tonight it is doing well considering the sell off. I would still like to see a drop to 370 area from a TA perspective to give a perfect bottom. That would also indicate that gold has one last leg down in this correction.
Looking at the last 3 years for the gold chart the longest period between a top and a bottom has been 3 months. Prior years have been as follows;
Dec 04 top / Feb 05 bottom May 06 top / Jun 06 bottom No significant top or bottom in 2007 Mar 08 top / May 08 bottom????
