Queensland and Western Australia have such a large export trade...

Queensland and Western Australia have such a large export trade going now in coal and iron ore that the railways and ports can barely cope with the volumes.

Any more bulk exports are simply not needed at this point in time, as the massive expenditure on infrastructure required would not be worth it. We are rich enough now.
