History tells us that effectively all religions are just self serving and the bane of all evil. If we didn't have religion how many lives could have been spared and contributed to the advancement of the human race? I'm with Mark twain. Religion is a massive con job with evil intent. As for the Bible, Koran etc etc - remember these books as we see them today are (modern) interpretations of ancient script and have been cut and rephrased to serve ulterior motives. In the case of the Koran we can see the current batch morons using it to provide support for their murderous acts. A good religious zealot is a dead one!
