Ditto - it is interesting how our perceptions of the intrinsic worth of a company over time are coloured by our buy price. As a matter of logic the two should not be related but of course they are because no one likes seeing red day after day while green allows patience.
One of the pluses here is that I personally like gold supplemented by base metals. We have no idea what will happen in these crazy times but it is conceivable that under the impact of inflation gold does not actually act as a hedge but base metals do. I like having some diversification around that possibility.
