The negotiations have degenerated into a farcical situation. Australia deserves better than this.

It is apparent, that which ever party forms government, there will be a high level of instability.

It's time for the Governor General to do what she is paid to do. She must order a fresh election in the Lower House immediately.

The Australian Electoral Commission should be required to provide the details of the minimum time required to make the arrangements.

The date should be declared and we go back to the polls in relation to the House of Representatives.

Do it now, before this situation becomes more demeaning for all involved.
