The green push is going to add around Euro $250bn to German power bills over the next decade. yet the thing the government and green groups don;t explain is that at the end of it the renewable energy devices used will have expired and will have to be replaced [again as subsided costs?]. Another round of costs. At A$12,000 per income earner, just for this first round, that will hurt.
Plus their peak load comes from French nuclear reactors. anyway. When the main French reactor was down for 5 days last year for routine maintenance, spot power prices for that period went up 15% in Germany.
