Yesterday there was an error message when I tried to reply to your comment that if someone used XXX to highlight their Subject header they could be suspended. Fair enough. I agree.
But this is why the issue of the word censor is quite baffling.
For example, a dollar sign and an apostrophe are prevented from being used by everyone because of potential misuse in the Subject header.
But the the letter x, which is permitted, is not being used to highlight posts such as:
XXXXX This stock is tripling next week XXXX
So I don't see an issue with the dollar sign or apostrophe etc. If misused people are suspended just as they would be if posting something like:
XXXXX This stock is tripling next week XXXX
It is an unnecessary irritation to not be able to use an apostrophe when a word must, for correct spelling, have an apostrophe or have to write dollars when referring to gold instead of simple using $.
