Shortens policy was just stupidity and there was plenty of warnings to demonise boomers was stupid and didn't work, Boomers kids could see that the policy would see many of their parents would be back on a part or full pension the figures don't support your accusation when the average franking credit was only around $2500 but that fact has never stopped a good story.
The same as the so-called free university for Boomers, at that time Whitlam introduced it to get more of the population into universities when there was less than 10% went on from year 12 to university, the overwhelming majority of boomers did not get the free university and country students' parents paid for their accommodation and living expenses because there was no government funding.
The real stupidity of the policy was that treasury extrapolated how much it would make and no account was ever taken that if you take money from people, they change their behaviour, there are many government handouts like childcare that were never available to boomers, so you attempt at slagging boomers come from your lack of knowledge of the times .
