What sort of announcement is that,Brian brings so much to QMN and no mention to speak of as to the reason for the appointment of Brian.To take QMN into production,were obviously very close.

BACKGROUND* Mr. Brian James Rear, AWASM (Metallurgy), MSc (London), DSC, DIC, MBL (South Africa), MAICD has been the Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Minerals Limited since July 21, 2009. Mr. Rear has been Managing Director of CopperCo Ltd. since June 16, 2004. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Zircon NL (formerly Southern Titanium NL) from August 1, 2002 to February 15, 2006.
Mr Rear has 38 years of technical, managerial and corporate development in mineral resource industry, covering Australia, New Guinea, United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa and Indonesia. His corporate experience includes Great Boulder Mines, Lake View and Star Mines, CRA, Rio Tinto (Rio Tinto Consultants), Anglovaal, Barrack Mines, Straits Resources and Hargraves Resources.
Mr Rear has been instrumental in defining the model for the profitable development of stand-alone heap leach copper projects in Australia. He was Co-Founder of Straits Resources Limited and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 1991 to 2002. During this period he oversaw the development of Straits from inception to a producing mining company.
Mr Rear served as Non Executive Chairman of Zambezi Resources Ltd. until November 18, 2010. He served as the Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Director of South Boulder Mines Ltd. until May 23, 2008. He has been a Director of Copperco Limited since June 16, 2004. He serves as Non-Executive Director of Copper Range Ltd. He served as a Director of Zambezi Resources Limited from May 10, 2004 to November 18, 2010. He served as the Non-Executive Director of International Base Metals Limited until July 20, 2007.
Mr Rear served as a Director of Australian Zircon NL from February 15, 2005 to April 28, 2006 and Straits Resources Limited from 1991 to 2002. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr. Rear is a graduate of the Western Australian School of Mines in metallurgy (AWASM) and also a graduate of the Royal School of Mines London, holding a Diploma of Imperial College (DIC) and an MSc (Lon) in mineral process design from the University of London.
