Sorry I didn't say it in more detail... By placing many small sell orders they can create the perception of downward momentum in the SP causing other holders to sell their shares. At this point they place large buy orders followed again by the small sell orders to arrest the upward momentum caused by their buy order.
And it's not as simple as sell or buy volume. BKT is trading at 6.5c and I could lob a sell order at 10c. I've created volume but it'll have no impact on the SP or any perceived pressure on the SP. The orders need to be realistic to the current trading price to create the pressure.
