I can't believe the Libs are falling for this ...

Rudd says, "oh my God !! 5 interest rises, Howard you have failed those who voted for you".

It really goes like this ... "Honest Kevin" ...
5 rises at 0.25%= 1.25%
Now it's been 3.2 years since that Howard statement "... we will keep interest rates at all time lows ..."

well 1.25/3.2 = 0.39%

That's well less than half a percent per annum per year for the last 3 years.

Sounds pretty good to me.

Howard statement stands in my opinion ...
that's a very low rate historically over these last 3 years.
