But why do highly trained and motivated warriors (Yanks hate Ruskies by the time they get to school), fighting at "arm's length" need an aid to "aggression"? Isn't this a direct (but more scientific) parallel to the "gunfire breakfast"? Isn't that where we started?"

    Just like the ruskies hate the yanks by the time they get to school, not to mention quite a few others... it's not just the yanks doing it - they all are.

    As per the Google stuff, it's also to maintain alertness on long missions.
