Every able-bodied male family member older than I has worn uniform (that seemed to exclude me, but I was there too) and having been born during WW2 and grown up with the heros of war I could not be a "pacifist" but I sure as hell am "anti-war".
It is oft said that heros are ordinary people doing extrordinary things. Without that belief, I have nothing. Please be careful before you denigrate soldiers. Bravery and humanity are spread unevenly but is not our right to pick and choose who are more worthy.
