250 seems tiny given the size of the industry.
I think it's irresponsible reporting to not include some kind of breakdown on those numbers, including by company. As well as an indication about whether "250" over 8 months is some kind of spike – compared to what?
Individual sob stories make headlines but reality can be very different.
