Well, I'm afraid that "taking down the crims," will degenerate into taking down the occasional innocento. The more power the police have, the more they are likely to slacken their discernment. Shoot first, shoot effectively and then, maybe, answer a question or two. Certainly not all of the police but we've just had the biggest one of them found to be a crim. I know, it's a fine balance but I'd hate to see an escalation of weaponry in our society. Looking at criminality from the wrong end.
