@O.C.WA; it's increasingly apparent that Jacinta Allen intends to execute her own vision for Victoria's future. Based on today's 2024 Victorian State Budget it's a less aggressive and less ambitious one.

By doing so Jacinta Allen is demonstrating that she's NOT a slave to the grand vision and ambitious operational rollout of Daniel Andrews. Her agenda is less fiscally challenging but at the other end it also delivers less, a whole lot less.

For most Victorians the jury is still out for a very long evening meal before chewing the fat over the agenda and performance of Jacinta Allen ... they're still processing the Andrews' Legacy.

Jacinta Allen won't face a full state election until November 2026, by which time the Metro and the new NE Link and WestGate Tunnel will be operational.

Meantime; Victoria's economy remains Australia's real engine room as investments including tertiary education, renewable energy, drought-proofing, professional sport, ecotourism, medical research, the biomedical sector and high margin manufacturing [non-American rail, defence equipment, trams] create a very different future than the rust-bucket horses on the High Plains one proposed by the Coalition.
