@daicosisgod; you only have to watch NE Vic's local news service and speak to some of the staff at A-W Health to work out what's really going on.

Federal Labor intervened during the Rudd-Gillard Years to provide the Oncology Unit, since then it was in the NSW's Govts hands under Berejiklian, Abbott, Morrison etc.

On the Vic side of the border the Wodonga Hospital has been something of 'the poor cousin' - guess what our local Liberal MP achieved while he was a Minister in Baillieu government. Guess what Mirabella, Clancy, McKenzie and Ley have delivered for health services in the Greater Albury-Wodonga Region [clue, starts with SF ... ].

Victoria is anything but 'broke', albeit the rate of rollout of core public infrastructure projects has indeed been unprecedented. With so little support during the dark period from September 2013 - May 2022 the lack of federal resourcing has indeed challenged fiscal management of game-changing infrastructure programs.

Your comment about 'country people being screwed' equates to firing a scattergun. The people of Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Traralgon and Shepparton have indeed made significant gains due to the investments championed under Labor since the removal of Jeff Kennett's scorched earth regime.

The people of NE Vic though have not done anywhere near as well as other regions, mainly due to the performance of local Coalition politicians.
