Up to a point I can understand that gullible people may sign up to a cult led by a person who has got rich lying, cheating, wheeling, dealing and stealing from people just like them. What I can't understand is why someone who has got rich making EVs, can sign up to a cult led by a person who will likely wind back the Inflation Reduction Act, alienate the US's remaining trading and security partners (read: friends) and make it harder for US companies to do business in the PRC. Such a person would probably cripple the aforesaid entrepreneur's business.
