Jaded, I think your last pondering is why the UCG companies are not worried by the tenement issue. CBM is applicable everywhere it can be found, with ground water being the biggest hurdle, BUT the energy per SqKm is relatively small. Since UCG produces a large amount of energy for a small area the loss of CBM in the same area is minor, hence the idea of dividing up tenements in terms of most suitable to the deposit.
