    You are carrying on like the government is building charge points on every street corner.

    But, that's not the case. Obviously charge points are being built on major highways such as the Hume but where are all these points that the government is building ?

    In many cases it is private concerns that are building them, not governments.

    I imagine if someone in Australia was to buy an ev it's a pretty good chance they would put in a home charge point. Are the government paying for those ?

    So a very large part of your charging infrastructure will be paid for privately and even then it's only a simple add on in most cases.

    Can't find a charge point ? Assuming that you can't manage to charge it at home, not only will your car remind you it's getting low it will show you where the charge points are. If you synch with the diary in your phone , it will remind you the day before to charge your car.
    In Europe there is an option to pre book a point as well with some companies so that it is available when you get there.
    New evs and their charging systems are very smart. Much smarter than the people driving them..........
